The person who best embodies the spirit of the Paganella Ski World Alpine Rockfest is Bode Miller, and it’s no surprise that he’s a testimonial for Paganella. The American champion has always matched his skiing skills with a rock lifestyle and will be one the celebrity athletes at the Rockfest. Accompanying Bode on the night run are Davide Simoncelli, Ted Ligety, Aksel Lund Svindal, Didier Cuche, Jean-Baptiste Grange, Julien Lizeroux, Mattias Hargin, Felix Neureuther, John Kucera and Marco Buechel. Each of these can invite two athletes to come and battle it out in the afternoon qualifiers for the night-time final.
Sixteen athletes will fight it out on a GS in straight time trials (so there will be no parallel slalom) over four rounds. The slowest four will be knocked out after each round until only the top four are left to battle it out in the final decisive challenge. The event will be packed with breathtaking sights, such as a pro-jump and incredible light displays.
